Beevers Beds Terms & Conditions


Once you have placed an order for a Beevers Bed, either by telephone or by using the online ordering facility on our website, you will receive an email from us which will be an acknowledgement of your order, this will detail the goods you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or an acceptance of your order from us.

You will then receive either a confirmation of order, or notification that we do not accept your order.

There are several reasons why we may not accept your order, some of these are listed below.

1. We have been unable to obtain authorisation of your payment.

2. Delivery address is different to the address given for credit card authorisation.

3. The delivery address requested is deemed by us to be inaccessible, either by nature of location or access.

4. We have identified an error in the description of the product or a pricing error.

It remains at our discretion that we reserve the right, at any time, to reject any order, to edit or withdraw any products from our website.

Your order is unique to you and will be supplied in accordance with the instructions and specifications as detailed in our order confirmation. Every effort will be made to match all colours and finishes in our stores. Notwithstanding this all goods are purchased and supplied, on the understanding there may be slight dye and shade variations, particularly with natural products such as wood. Occasionally we may supply goods with minor differences in specification due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including sizes which are approximate. Should this be the case any differences will result in the goods being of an equal or improved standard, and it will not affect your rights under the law, and the guarantee will continue to apply.


In normal circumstances we do not undertake removal of old beds, mattresses or furniture. This can usually be carried by your local council. It may be possible under special circumstances to remove and recycle mattresses when delivering a new item. This would be chargeable and the payment arranged directly by phone by our customer service department.

Beevers and our contracted delivers will assist the customer in taking the goods into their premises, as long as this is arranged prior to delivery. Whilst assisting the customer in this way, neither Beevers nor our contracted deliverers will accept liability for any damage both to the delivered product or to the customers property, or any fixtures and fittings.

Contracted deliverers will not undertake assembly of any furniture, this is the responsibility of the customer.

Where a delivery date has been agreed, and the customer is not available to take the delivery, Beevers reserve the right to make a charge, equivalent to the cost of the initial delivery, on the customer, to be paid in full prior to the second delivery.


Your new Beevers Bed enjoys a 5 year warranty, this applies to all Beevers made mattresses and non-electric bases. All Electric beds and mattresses have varying warranties due to their components, please see actual bed details for more information. For your guidance there are certain conditions that should be observed.

In the unlikely event that your Beevers mattress or divan base needs service or attentions during the first 12 months, it will be repaired at our discretion without charge, providing the conditions mentioned herein have not been contravened, and that the defect is due to either faulty materials or poor workmanship.

If service or attention is required during the second and subsequent years, a charge of one-fifth of the current retail price, multiplied by the number of years owned, plus transport costs will be made.

Wherever possible we will try and use identical materials, but if these are not available we reserve the right to substitute materials of better or similar quality.

This warranty does not apply if, on inspection, the bed is found to be in a soiled condition, or the fault has not been caused by fair wear and tear.



Should you wish to cancel and/or amend your order you should contact Beevers Customer Service on 01947 604351 or by email to within 14 days of placing your order. Following delivery the buyer may return the goods to Beevers, Old Mill, Stakesby Vale, Whitby, YO21 1JZ within 14 days of notification.

The buyer may return the goods to Beevers, The Old Mill, Whitby within 14 days of notification. Where the collection of goods are required by Beevers Whitby Ltd or their agents a charge will be made, dependant on the nature of the goods and when and where they are to be collected from.

This cost will be notified to you in advance. In any event the goods will remain your responsibility until we collect them. Due to hygiene aspects of Beds, Mattresses, Mattress Protectors, Duvets & Pillows. Goods must be unused and in the original condition and packaging. Please be aware that these provisions do not apply to goods as above if:

a) The product has been used/assembled/part assembled.

b) To any products that we have made or customised specifically for you.

c) Poor or inadequate return packaging.

d) You have bought either on line or by telephone goods which you have previously viewed at one of our stores.

Our Policy on Returns

In respect of complaints relating to faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, notification is required to customer services by phone 01947 604351 in writing within 14 days of delivery to Customer Services, Beevers Beds Ltd, The Old Mill, Stakesby Vale, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO21 1JZ or by e-mail . We will offer you either the choice of an exchange of faulty part or product; or collection with full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights. In the unlikely event that the goods develop a fault, Beevers Beds Ltd, reserve the right to have the goods repaired or replaced at Beevers Beds Ltd’s discretion, and delivery costs associated with exchanged faulty goods would be met by Beevers Beds Ltd.

Where goods are reported as faulty later than seven days after delivery. Beevers Beds Ltd reserve the right to arrange an inspection and if the goods are found on inspection to not be faulty but the result of fair wear and tear, negligence or wilful damage, Beevers Beds Ltd reserves the right to charge for the inspection to cover costs.


On goods prior to delivery refunds will be made to you as soon as possible, usually in the manner in which the purchase was made and within 21 days.

Refunds on goods already delivered will take place as soon as possible following collection, return and inspection of those goods. Collection costs will be deducted prior to refund. Refunds will take place within 21 days following collection & inspection.

These provisions do not affect your statutory rights.


Our total liability in regard to the performance of this contract shall be limited to the value of the Goods.

Beevers Whitby Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential compensation arising out of the performance/or non-performance of this contract.

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law.

All contracts shall be governed by English Law.
